We are excited that you are on your way to becoming a professional in the Beauty Industry. Below are the steps to receive Financial Aid for your education here at Nicholas Jay Salon & Spa Academy. We are available to help you through the Financial Aid process and get you started on your new path at Nicholas Jay Salon & Spa Academy.
Should you need any help through the application process, you can contact the Financial Aid Department (465-7660 or email Laurie@NicholasJayAcademy.com). You can also call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243).
Step 1: Complete your FAFSA (stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application at www.fafsa.gov. You will enter our school code of 017178 when prompted. This ensures the results of your application are sent to the Finance Department at Nicholas Jay Salon & Spa Academy.
It takes typically 3-5 days for the results of your submission to reach the Finance Department at Nicholas Jay Salon & Spa Academy. As soon as we get it, we'll be in touch to set up an appointment for you to come in and talk about your financial aid options and/or awards.
* If you are interested in obtaining a student Direct Loan, you will also need to complete the following steps (2 & 3).
Step 2: Complete your Student Loan Entrance Counseling at studentloans.gov if you are interested in, or will need to accept student loans to help pay for some of your educational costs. You will be completing the Entrance Counseling for an Undergraduate student loan. This website was just updated, so it may look different if you have completed this for another school. You must complete the entrance counseling for each school. If you haven’t completed this for Nicholas Jay Salon & Spa Academy, you will need to do that.
Step 3: If you are receiving student loans to assist in the cost for attending Nicholas Jay Salon & Spa Academy, you must complete a Mater Promissory Note (MPN).This is also completed on studentloans.gov.
